1972 Fender Precision Bass artist owned by John Entwistle of The Who

1972 Fender Precision Bass artist owned by legendary bassist John Entwistle of The Who. A note in John's hand writing was stored under the neck plate reading:

"SN 376250 - If found please return to John Entwistle c/o "The Who" - a reward will be offered. Please contact our London office on 499 8686." 

There is a later scrawl at the bottom of the note in different handwriting that reads: "No longer required by Entwistle" after the bass left his possession. The old format phone number of "499 8686" listed for the band's "London Office" is a direct match for the London phone number of Polydor Records at the time, which was the band's record label. 

Many of Entwistle's basses still in his possession were sold in 2003 at Sotheby's auction house for figures of £10,000 to over £50,000 pounds. 21 years later, our studio is proud to present Entwistle's former 1972 Fender Precision Bass for under £15k.
