1965 Gibson Byrdland Hollow Body Florentine Kalamazoo Sunburst Vintage 60's Guitar. This is a rare Sunburst model with Florentine cutaway, and it's the nicest example we have ever seen from this era. The Byrdland is Gibson's top model with hand carved body, and was the flagship guitar of Gibson's legendary Kalamazoo, Michigan factory. Of the Byrdland's that were crafter, most had the rounded Venetian cutaway. It is remarkable how well preserved this 57 year old Gibson is. The flame maple neck and figuring to the body is intense. The label inside the body is completely legible. If you want the very best, you are looking at it.
