Amazing 1979 Gibson Les Paul Firebrand that was given a full custom makeover by famed British guitar builder Nigel Thornbory known for designed the Guild Ashbory bass and building guitars for artists like King Crimson. This guitar received Schaller hardware and indeed Schaller humbuckers with push/pull and toggle switch for coil split and phase. The control cavity is exceptional and features a personal note from Nigel as provenance of his work performed in 1991 to make the guitar what you see today. There is an interesting triangular insert at the bottom of the body. The original chainsaw case is included with all clasps present & perfectly intact. This is a very cool vintage 70's Les Paul with a great story behind it and provenance that it was customized by a well known guitar builder & designer. This is the only one of his custom jobs I am aware of that was done on an existing guitar that he did not craft himself. Someone is going to have a very special Gibson for their collection.
