Rare Vintage Neumann U89 stereo pair microphone set circa 1980 from famous TVS studios in the UK. TVS studios is famous for legendary prime minister Margaret Thatcher broadcasting from there in 1984 and for being one of the three studios that created the internationally famous Fraggle Rock TV show! There have been many more hit shows filmed in these studios, which are now called Maidstone Studios. These mics are extremely hard to find, especially as a pair. They are known in engineer circles as the superior microphone to the U87 and are more versatile with better resolution capturing far sources. Obviously being TV and film studio mics, they have surface dings and marks but are 100% functional, which is what matters. The famous TVS studio name is lightly etched in the housing along with the studio postcode, thus preserving its heritage and provenance forever. The cases are made from real leather and sell for quite a bit of money on their own.
