1979 Fender Precision Bass! This vintage Fender bass was owned by Nigel Thornbory, of Thornbory Guitars who designed & created the famous Guild Ashbory bass and built premium guitars for big artists like King Crimson. This bass was given to Nigel during a visit to the Fender factory. The pickups appear have been replaced with vintage DiMarzio P-Bass pickups and the pots are dated 1981. Very cool 40+ year old bass with a great story behind it. How many of your basses were gifts from Fender to a major bass designer and inventor for such a famous brand?
