Incredibly rare 1974 Gibson Byrdland Natural in stunning condition with Venetian body built in the famous original Kalamazoo, Michigan Gibson factory. This is 1 of only 6 ever Byrdland Naturals built in 1974. Of the 2,670 Kalamazoo-produced Byrdlands reported built, the majority (75%) were finished in sunburst, the rest natural. Just over two-thirds (68%) had the rounded Venetian cutaway body style, the rest Florentine. Peak years were 1969 and 1968 with 220 and 218 guitars shipped, respectively. Only 6 Natural finish Byrdlands were produced in 1974. Beautiful figured maple back with striking flame maple finish to the body and neck. The Byrdland is the most expensive and rarest model hand crafted by Gibson with the top hand carved from solid spruce - with this one you get half a century of history behind it. This is a rock solid investment guitar that will only continue to appreciate in value. It's also a fantastic player suitable for the most accomplished guitarists performing in the best recording studios and performing on the biggest stages. It simply doesn't get better than this.
